Functioning since 26/01/1970, initially named Arpookara Police Station.

Renamed as Gandhinagar Police Station on 16/06/1976 (G.O. (Rt) 2374/Home).

Came under Kottayam East Circle on 15/01/1995 (G.O. (MS) 15/95 Home).

Janamaithri Suraksha Project :  Implemented on 10/12/2012.

New Building:          Began operation in the current building on 13/02/2014.

History of the Police Station : Established as Arpookara Police Station on 26/01/1970.

Renamed as Gandhinagar Police Station in 1976 via G.O. (Rt) 2374/Home.

Integrated into Kottayam East Circle in 1995.

Transitioned to a modernized building in 2014, enhancing operational capacity.
