History of the Police Station

The outpost under Kottayam Town Station (1888&ndash1913) was upgraded to a full-fledged police station on 15th April 1964 as per G.O. (MS) 148 dated 02.04.1964.

A Tourism Wing began operations on 11th November 2002 to support the area's growing tourism needs.

A new station building was inaugurated at Kavanattinkara on 8th October 2016.
