History of the Police Station:

                                   Marangattupilly Police Station was inaugurated on 19/06/1979 in a building owned by St. Francis Church, near the market junction of Marangattupilly.It was established based on GO RT 1207/79.The new police station building was opened on 30/01/1987 by the then Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri K. Karunakaran.The station jurisdiction initially included areas like Andoor, Elakkad, Kurichithanam, Vayala, Marangattupilly, Mannakkanad, Palakkattumala, and Nellithanathumala.The first Sub-Inspector of the station was Sri. M T Cyriac.
